The situation
A regional transport company coordinated dozens of daily bookings by phone, WhatsApp groups and a whiteboard. Bookings were missed during peak hours, customers called repeatedly for status, and management had no view of utilisation.
What we built
- Central dispatch dashboard with live booking board
- Driver Android app with job acceptance and proof of delivery
- Customer portal with self-service booking and status tracking
- WhatsApp notifications at every status change
How it went
We spent the first week riding along with dispatchers to map the real process before designing anything. Weekly staging demos kept operators involved, and the go-live ran in phases - one depot first, then the network.
The outcome: bookings now enter through one channel, dispatchers see every vehicle and job on one screen, and “where is my delivery?” calls dropped off because customers can check themselves. Management reviews utilisation from the dashboard instead of asking for spreadsheets.
